We will be at the space with coffee and a selection of baked goods. You are welcome to come by, explore the space, and let us introduce you to our upcoming program. Some special merchandise will also be available on-site, but maybe not for long...
In this workshop, with a needle in one hand and thread in the other, you will embark on a connect-the-dots game. You will discover that the arrangement of the punctures can be choreographed in various ways, giving you the freedom to explore many configurations of diverse and occasionally intriguing patterns.
Materials and tools are provided. Various papers and threads will be available for use, but feel free to bring your own.
Japanese binding is an enduringly elegant style, also known as 'four-hole binding' (βYotsume Tojiβ). While referred to as 'Japanese,' it has long been practiced across East Asia, including China, Korea, and Vietnam. It has since transcended both time and borders, embracing new shapes along the way. Today, the technique is applied to increasingly innovative materials and designs, garnering admiration and becoming integrated into Western bookbinding practices.

Drawing Dogs and Books is a drawing session open for all!
Originally started last year at W139 during the People I Care About project,
it is a growing collection of drawings of books, dogs, dogs reading books,
dogs writing books, dogs chewing books, dogs looking like books etc.
The drawings collected during this session will be converted into prints on tea-towels
and window stickers and more! No need to bring any materials, all the paper and pens will be provided
by NOOO! Dogs are welcome :)
